Hunterdon County is working in partnership with the Highlands Council to update its Growth Management Plan, which was last updated in 2007. The Plan is the County’s Land Use Master Plan Element and guides county-level investment, supports municipalities, and provides a shared vision for the County’s next decade.

Draft Growth Management Plan available for review and comment

A draft of updated Hunterdon County Growth Management Plan can be downloaded at the link above. Hunterdon County residents are invited and encouraged to offer comments regarding the revisions to the County’s Growth Management Plan. Public Information Session

A public meeting will be held on December 7th, 2022 at 7:00 PM at the County Complex on Route 12 in Flemington (314 State Route 12, Flemington, NJ 08822, Building 1, Assembly Room). The purpose of the meeting is to present the draft vision statement and preliminary recommendations for the Hunterdon County Growth Management Plan. Members of the public will be given an opportunity to provide comments and help shape the future of the County. We hope you can attend! Public Visioning Meeting

A Public Visioning Session will be held on October 3rd at 7 pm at the County Complex on Route 12 in Flemington (314 State Route 12, Flemington, NJ 08822, Building 1, Assembly Room). This will be an in-person visioning session that will allow members of the public (you!) to provide comments to help form the basis of the County’s Growth Management Plan. Topics of discussion will include economic development, land use, circulation, infrastructure, sustainability, resiliency, historic preservation, open space, and land preservation.
